This website came into existence a few years ago. I had called it Storm in a Jar Productions. I meant to use this site as a means to distribute the software I was actively developing. However, in the end I never actually released anything. I discovered quite early on that it is a lot of work to create a top quality software product on your own. In the end, I gave up on it due to time constraints and shifting interests.

Ever since, this website has been changed time and again while I explored all the possibilities of what could be done. Eventually I settled into slightly changing the name of the website into Storm in a Jar. At the moment it functions as a place where I can put down all the random things that have sparked my interest. Of course the downside to this is that I have such a wide variety of interests that it truly has become a collection of seemingly random posts.

My name is Reggy and I lurk behind an alternate ego called Grognak. He’s not just a name though! He’s a rather fluffy Tauren, who is absolutely 100% real and lives in the alternate reality of World of Warcraft. He lives at one of the inns (and the North bank) in Dalaran and used to be the guild master of Stormcrows on the European Quel’Thalas realm, until we disbanded. Currently my girlfriend and I are attempting to start a new guild, A Drop of Rain. All of Grognak’s adventures can be tracked through the feed in the sidebar!

In daily life I have to settle with being a Software Engineer and I like to dabble with Architectures. Hopefully, some day I will be able to call myself a Systems Architect. Until the dawn of that day I shall continue to work as a web developer. On a daily basis I work with the .NET framework and Telerik Components.

As I briefly mentioned earlier, I have a wide variety of interests and I’m going to be posting about them on this website. Prepare to see a lot of posts related to fantasy books, games and software development. Occasionally I might get philosophical and scare my readers away by letting them have a look into my random thoughts.

I would also like to start writing short stories again and publish them here on Storm in a Jar. However, I tend to believe my own writing isn’t all that good and I usually end up throwing my writing away before it’s done. Hopefully I will be able to finish something some day and show it to the world!
